DIRECT SUPERVISION

Program Overview

The Live Surgery Experience gives you the opportunity to apply all the knowledge and skills taught in the Wisdom Tooth & Surgical Exodontia Comprehensive Practical Course on a real patient – from assessing case complexity, counselling on the benefits and risks of surgery and obtaining informed consent, to preparing for surgery and arranging patient follow-up.

The surgical procedure is undertaken under direct supervision, with the rest of your patient’s case management completed under indirect supervision (that is, case discussion before and after surgery).

If you get ‘stuck’ during the surgery, your supervisor can take over certain parts of the case with you assisting, so you can see in real time how to execute on technically challenging parts of the surgical procedure.

In 2023 he founded Mobile Oral Surgery Services (MOSS), which provides oral surgery and sedation services to over 25 dental clinics across Sydney and the Central Coast. He is a published author in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and has  presented his research at an international conference. If your patient cancels within 24 hours of surgery or fails to attend their appointment, you may reschedule once, with the same or a different patient, at no additional cost.
